A vulnerability in the samsung_load_raw() function of LibRaw could allow a local attacker to cause a denial of service (DoS) condition on a targeted system.The vulnerability is due to an out-of-bounds memory read condition in the samsung_load_raw() function, as defined in the internal/dcraw_common.cpp source code file of the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a malicious file to the targeted system. A successful exploit could cause the affected software to crash, resulting in a DoS condition.Proof-of-concept (PoC) code that demonstrates an exploit of this vulnerability is publicly available.LibRaw has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
