Dell Avamar Fitness Analyzer API SQL Injection Information Disclosure Vulnerability – CVE number CVE-2024-47977 has been assigned to this.

This vulnerability allows remote attackers to disclose sensitive information on affected installations of Dell Avamar.

Authentication is required to exploit this vulnerability.

The specific flaw exists within the processing of the groupname parameter provided to the replication endpoint.

The issue results from the lack of proper validation of a user-supplied string before using it to construct SQL queries.

An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to disclose stored credentials, leading to further compromise.

Dell has issued an update to correct this vulnerability.
