BBC to broadcast exclusive live coverage of the 2019 World Athletics Championships
Ofcom has granted consent for the BBC to broadcast exclusive live coverage of the 2019 World Athletics Championships.
Live coverage of the 2019 World Athletics Championships will be broadcast on BBC One and BBC Two, and additionally on the BBC’s radio services (including BBC Five Live) and interactive streams.
The World Athletics Championships is a ‘listed event’, which means Ofcom’s consent is needed for a broadcaster to provide exclusive live coverage. Consent was granted as Ofcom was satisfied that the requirements set out in the Code on Sports and Other Listed and Designated Events have been met.
