RubyGems Gem::CommandManager#run Escape Sequence Injection Vulnerability [CVE-2019-8325]

A vulnerability in RubyGems could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to inject escape sequence code on a targeted system.The vulnerability exists because the Gem::CommandManager#run command of the affected software calls the alert_error function without escaping. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted response to the targeted system. A successful exploit could cause an escape sequence injection condition on the targeted system.RubyGems confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
