A vulnerability in snapd could allow a local attacker to gain unauthorized access on a targeted system. The vulnerability is due to the improper setting of application ownership by the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by calling the snap-confine function on the targeted system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to gain unauthorized access to a private /tmp directory on the targeted system. snapd has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
