FasterXML jackson-databind Polymorphic Typing Information Disclosure Vulnerability [CVE-2019-12086]

A vulnerability in the jackson-databind component of FasterXML Jackson could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to access sensitive information on a targeted system. The vulnerability is due to a polymorphic typing issue in the affected software when Default Typing is enabled. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by sending a crafted JSON message that submits malicious input to the affected software. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to access sensitive information on the targeted system.FasterXML has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
