Apache Karaf Config Service Arbitrary File Write Vulnerability [CVE-2019-0226]

A vulnerability in the config service of Apache Karaf could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to gain unauthorized access to a targeted system.The vulnerability exists because the affected software does not properly impose security restrictions when the install method of the config service is used. An attacker who has access to the Karaf console on the targeted system could exploit this vulnerability to write arbitrary files on the file system that the Karaf process user has access to. A successful exploit could be used to conduct further attacks.Apache confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
