Live Networks LIVE555 parseAuthorizationHeader Function Malformed Headers Invalid Memory Access Vulnerability.

A vulnerability in the LIVE555 Real Time Streaming Protocol (RTSP) server library could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to compromise a targeted system completely.The vulnerability is due to invalid memory access by the parseAuthorizationHeader function of the affected software. An attacker could exploit the vulnerability by sending a malformed HTTP header to a targeted system. A successful exploit could cause a memory access error, which could result in complete system compromise.Live Networks confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
