Drupal core PEAR Archive_Tar Library Vulnerability [CVE-2019-6338]

A vulnerability in the Drupal core PEAR Archive_Tar library of Drupal Core could allow an authenticated, remote attacker to bypass security restrictions on a targeted system.The vulnerability is due to an unsafe object deserialization condition in the affected software. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by submitting a crafted tar file to the targeted system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to bypass security restrictions on the system and conduct further attacks.Drupal.org has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
