Rack Rack::Request Cross-Site Scripting Vulnerability [CVE-2018-16471 ]

A vulnerability in Rack could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to conduct a cross-site scripting (XSS) attack against a user on a targeted system.The vulnerability exists because the affected software performs insufficient escaping of the content returned by the scheme method in the Rack::Request class. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a targeted user to follow a link that sends a crafted request to the targeted system. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to conduct an XSS attack, which could be used to execute arbitrary script code or access sensitive information on the system.Rack has confirmed the vulnerability and released software updates.
